Candidate for Milwaukee County 9th District Supervisor

Dear Neighbors,

I came to public service with a simple belief: when we listen to people and manage their resources responsibly, we can build stronger, safer communities together.

In 2021, my neighbors elected me to serve on the Franklin Public School Board, and I was honored to be re-elected in 2024. From the beginning, I focused on keeping our schools strong while protecting taxpayers. That meant asking tough questions, finding creative solutions, and making decisions that balanced fiscal responsibility with investing in our future.

One of my proudest accomplishments has been delivering real, measurable savings for our community. In 2021, I voted against a 12% school tax levy increase. In 2022, I supported a 1.9% reduction in the levy and helped move the district to a self-insured health insurance plan that saved more than $1 million over three years.

In 2023, I introduced an amendment that cut the proposed levy increase from 13.2% down to 5%. At the same time, we improved the district’s credit rating from AA2 to AA1 — just one step below AAA — placing us in the top 10% of public schools in Wisconsin. That upgrade allowed the district to secure low-interest loans after passing a referendum, ultimately saving nearly $18 million that was redirected back into classrooms instead of interest payments.

I’m not afraid to reach across the aisle. Whether you’re a Democrat, Republican, or Independent, we all want the same things: safe neighborhoods, well-maintained roads and parks, and a county government that respects taxpayers while investing in public services.

I’m running for Milwaukee County Supervisor to bring that same approach to District 9: balancing budgets responsibly, keeping our neighborhoods safe, and improving the amenities that make our community a great place to live and raise a family. Read my full platform here.

Outside of public service, I work as a gastroenterologist at Aurora Healthcare, where I serve in a leadership role as Chair of the GI section. I also serve as the Assistant Professor of Osteopathic Medicine at the Des Moines School of Medicine and have gone on several overseas medical missions to serve underprivileged communities.

My career in medicine has shaped how I lead: listening first, working as part of a team, and always putting people at the center of decisions. With my patients, I pick up the phone and call them myself. I don’t hand that off to nurses or administrators, because I believe leadership means showing up directly, even when it’s hard. That is what I learned from my mother, a dedicated lifelong teacher.

I’m a proud husband and father of five. My wife, Arshi, and I are raising our family in Franklin, and I want to make sure Milwaukee County is a place where every family feels safe, supported, and proud to call home. If you believe in common-sense leadership, responsible budgeting, and putting families first, I’d be honored to have your support and vote.
